Overview of Mount Independence
Mount Independence was a pivotal fortification for the Americans during the Revolutionary War. The site occupied a strategic location on Lake Champlain, and was at one point one of the most populated places in the North American colonies.
Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins and ABC 22 & Fox 44 Anchor Mike Hoey head over to Orwell to learn more about the site and its history.
