LHS Annual Conference & Workshops

VHS hosts a yearly conference, usually in the spring, for local historical societies and museums. We also occasionally host workshops designed to assist local historical societies and museums with a wide array of the challenges they may face, from collections care, strategic planning, and volunteer recruitment, to disaster management, and creating exhibits. Call for Session Proposals

Want to share a great project or program, help facilitate a peer discussion, or offer professional tips and advice on doing local history? We are currently soliciting proposals for conference sessions. Sessions usually run about 1 hour and a variety of formats are welcome. If you have an idea for a session, please email director.outreach@vermonthistory.org with details. Session presenters receive free registration to the conference.
