Ira Allen: A Biography
Ira Allen was a controversial and pivotal figure in Vermont's early history. The brother of Ethan Allen, Ira was a prolific writer and businessman who played a key role in the Haldimand Affair, where he and others negotiated with the British about Vermont's potential return to the British Empire.
