Burlington's Texaco Beach
The Burlington waterfront has long been home to various industrial sites. Texaco Beach is one of them: it's now Burlington's urban reserve, but you can see plenty of signs of its use as a working waterfront. For decades, it was the site where barges would land to pump gas and oil into tanks, which would then be distributed throughout the state. Vermont Historical Society Executive Director Steve Perkins and ABC 22 & Fox 44 Anchor Mike Hoey take a look at the reminders of that time.
